Twenty+ years building at Adobe and Zalando. I help companies lead engineering, make sharp technical decisions, and bridge teams across US/ EU and India.
Most engagements start small: a review, a conversation, and grow into something ongoing. Pick the door that fits.
Part-time senior tech leadership for companies not yet ready for a full-time CTO. Strategy, architecture direction, the hiring bar, and the decisions that are hard to unwind.
A fixed-scope, clear-eyed look at your systems: scalability, cost, tech debt, and how ready you really are.
Setting up, scaling, or advising cross-border teams.
Where agentic AI creates real operational leverage, and how to adopt it safely. Architecture, evaluation, observability, and the guardrails that keep it dependable.
One-on-one guidance for senior engineers and aspiring technical leaders on careers, judgment, and the leap into leadership.
Book a session on Topmate →Side projects are where I keep my hands in the work. Each of these started as curious questions.
A per-action autonomy policy layer for AI agents. It decides, for every tool call, whether the agent may act on its own from the action's reversibility and blast radius, not the model's capability. A smarter model doesn't make dropping a production table safe.
An interactive reference for the computer science engineers: HyperLogLog, consistent hashing, LSM compaction, tail-latency amplification. Every concept is presented as a system you can break through interactive simulations.
A privacy-first macOS app that notices how you are sitting. Apple Vision does the analysis entirely on-device and nothing ever leaves the machine. It grew a hardware arm too (in a branch): an Arduino rig that physically nudges you when you slouch.
I've spent more than two decades as a leader and builder, the kind who still enjoys being close to the code.
I led software engineering for the Pricing Platform at Zalando in Berlin, and before that built creative tools at Adobe: Photoshop and Premiere Elements, 3D printing, Adobe Flex and Flash Builder. Along the way I picked up twelve US patents and built a knack for building systems for millions.
In 2026 I moved back to India, and now work with a small number of teams as an advisor, mostly at the messy, interesting intersection of AI and scalability.
